Concerts at a small venue are always fun , not to leave out an evening on the lawn at Ravinia. Live music is always better than listening to a DJ.
Museums and cultural events are also on my list of things to do.

My passion in life is God and ministry. I love God, but I am not a religious nut. I do like to have fun. Don't mine working to get what I or who I want. With that being said, I don't care to play a lot of games. I am extremely straight forward. I say what I mean and mean what I say.

I am content with who I am and very happy with my life. Just looking for someone to share it with. Honesty, integrity, and open communication is important to me. My faith is important to me as it has brought joy and peace into my life. I am equally comfortable staying at home, going out on the town, or traveling to new places. Recently discovered I prefer the ocean to the mountains, so sunshine and beaches are definitely in my future. I still work full time but plan on retiring next year. My two boys are the light of my life and a constant source of interesting stories. Can "go it alone" in Euchre, pick out a chord or three on a guitar, cook anything that has a recipe and make it up if it doesn't. I would love to learn to play golf, dance, or speak French or Italian. Not sport minded at all - I can't really tell the difference in or appreciate a good play from a bad play and I'm okay with that. I strive to stay healthy, and enjoy the surprised looks I get when I mention my age. I have been through a lot in life so can handle about anything that comes my way. Don't require constant attention, but would thoroughly enjoy it if a guy wants to pamper me.

I like being with people, family and friends mean a lot, like going out with someone and being able to be myself. I am very honest and really care about other people. I don't like people that put on an act and pretend to be someone they are not. I like someone who is honest and up front about things. I like a variety of activities. I like doing a lot of different things with the someone that is special, but I don't always like to choose the actvity but I like doing some of my things too. Pretty easy-going, usually well-liked by other people.

To know me is to know passion. Passion in my work, my play time, my emotions and my sorrows.

I don't 'need' a man in my life but I truly desire the closeness that only a man and woman share together. I'm not the kind of woman who will make the first move. Courtship and romance are extremely important to me and I won't settle for a man who can't or won't appreciate chivalry. Online dating has it's challenges and benefits, but I don't believe it gives allowances for neglecting the basics of dating and 'real' flirting...not the kind that it is generated by a computer.

The Bible says that a man that finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains God's favor. My purpose on this site is to put myself in a position to be found by the right man. I want to start by saying that I am so happy being me. I am not the richest, or smartest or most beautiful woman on the face of this earth. There definitely are things about me that I would change. But I love the me that I am right now. I love to laugh and smile. I love to read. I love to travel and experience different cultures. I love good music, regardless of the genre. I love dogs. I love sunny days and starry nights. I love a good debate. I like movies and the theater. I like to touch people and be touched by people and I don't mean just physically. I cook and clean and change locks and lightbulbs. If necessary, I can even change a tire, breaklights and add oil and other various fluids to my car. I don't understand football at all but if you are willing to teach me, I am willing to learn.

Enjoy all sports played football in mens league in my 20s loved the hitting and tackling guys who thougth cause i was a girl i was going down much to surprise they went down. 30 years fast pitch softball left fielder 1st base. now i golf.
