In A Nutshell
I have degrees in bio-chemistry, physical anthropology, labor relations, and philosophy. I have spent some summers doing research. My children are spread out from Traverse City to Orlando. I try to see them as much as I can. I love children especially teenagers. I taught high school for 34 years. I have 5 grandchildren. I like to cook, work out at a gym, hunt fish hike, sit around a campfire, build, solve problems, garden, spend time with my church family. The first novel I read at about 7 was 12 years before the mast, so I have always wanted to sail. As Hank Williams Jr. says “A country boy can survive.”
The One I Am Looking For
Someone who likes to travel, have in-depth discussions, enjoy my family as I will hers. Someone willing to see the other side of issues, have empathy, and steer away from judgment until the facts are in. Someone who can accept life as a gift from God and enjoy every minute. Someone who will at least try a few things beyond their comfort zone. Someone who is passionate, sharing, willing to be a wow on a date, and wear boots and get down in the mud around the house.
I'd Just Like to Add
I spent most of my life attempting to be an individual. I don’t like stereotypes, sweeping judgements, and just because I’m 74 that I am no longer energetic fun and romantic. I can take rejection, and I will be a gentleman, but I won’t like it.
